Great place. Location is excellent if you are skiing at Northstar, about as close as you can get without staying at the resort. We also skied a day at Mt Rose, just a half hour away. Trails for snowshoeing or cross country are also close by. Really close to Safeway and shops in Tahoe Vista too. House has great views into the forest, nice and peaceful. The neighborhood was plowed well despite more than six feet of snow the week prior to our stay so no fears in staying here during big storms. Hot tub was in good shape and stayed warm. Nice light and open floor plan with a downstairs rec room. We had one teen in the second bedroom and the other in the Murphy bed downstairs. The pool table was a hit. The kitchen is small and has quality dishes and decent pans and utensils if you plan to cook (could upgrade a bit here with the pans). I do agree with other reviewers that the triple bunks are a little too tight. Other possible downsides, the entrance area is tight with no real place for boots and coats. Overall, we had a great stay and found it to be a quality place.
